Friendzoning God

I am a Christian! I love Jesus! I love the people I have met at church! I love doing Bible studies, worship and fellowship.

Lately I've been trying to love Jesus more.
Like the kid's song says, "because he first loved me"

I feel God's goodness and love all the time. He works in my life and gives me so much. He's there every time I call. Comforts me every time I'm broken hearted, disappointed or overwhelmed.  He's always there to make me feel better, to hold my hand, to answer my questions. God is dependable.

As Christians we are used to this God. We're know he will be there. We know he loves us. We know he's that one that will always answer the phone or instantly respond to the text we send. It's time for us to do the same.

I want to love God more. I want to love him like he loves me. I don't want to leave God in the friendzone. I want to fall in love with him. I want to include him in every part of my life. Give him access to my whole life.

Heavenly Father, I want to love you that much!!

First piece of bedding finished

I couldn't help but go ahead and post this. It is so cool and I'm so excited!!
This is the finished bumper (only missing the ties). My mom did all the awesome sewing. I tried to help, it was disastrous but luckily savable. The little tags on there were to help keep us oriented while pinning.
We made it as a slip cover and put it over a cheap store bought bumper, which means...it's washable! Always a plus. :) Thanks so much mom for all the hard work!!!

Decorating

If you don't know yet, Mark and I are having a little boy.

We are decorating the baby room in Super Heroes. Mainly Superman but we will be incorporating others too. Here is a picture of the first finished project for the room decor. We have the bedding started and I'll post pictures when it's completed.

These are 12x12 canvases hand painted by Mark's Aunt Helen. I can't wait for these to be here so I can get them on the walls! To see other stuff Helen has done check out her Etsy store.

A Few Random Thoughts About Being an Oven

1.  Re flux sux!! (sorry for the spelling, I had to just go with it)
2.  I really want to ride a roller coaster this summer. :(
3.  I hate the ties on maternity clothes. You have to tuck them somewhere during your 20 trips to the bathroom each day. And then what if you forget to fix them?
4.  Can I go to the chiropractor everyday?
5.  What's with the contraption they rub on your belly every time you're at the doctor? I'm sure you wouldn't have to listen so long for that heartbeat if you weren't using stuff that looks like it's from the 70s.
6.  Is that gas lasting for 10 minutes or is it a parasite wiggling around on my insides?
7.  Why does my husband think it's funny to try to gross me out? Yay, something else I can pester her with! One of these days I will puke on him.
8.  Thank God for concealer. I will not leave home without it again.
9.  Green vegetables? Eww!!
10. Really? I just shaved yesterday!

1.  I haven't really been that sick. I've been pretty lucky.
2.  I have an excuse to buy new clothes.
3.  People do stuff for you all the time.
4.  I can fall asleep whenever I want. (usually)
5.  My sweetie says or does sweet extra things I would never expect.
6.  Finally getting rid of extra junk in the house.
7.  My family has blessed us tremendously everyday with their love and generosity.

Family

Today is one of those days. It's the day when I'm surrounded by babies and pregnant women, and I'm related to every one. There's crying, fussing and stinky diapers. So, is this something I really want? Am I really ready for a person to take over my life like this? Am I really ready to share Mark?
Then I stand back and watch this huge beautiful family. How can I not want to add to the precious love and joy in front of me. This sacrifice provides us all with something beautiful. Something we can all share. Someone we can spend our lives with.
